Power of Truth - Track #2 & Album Title
One of the most difficult decisions I encountered during this album's production was choosing the song order. This project was ultimately chosen to lead since it was not only the best mix I personally crafted on the album, but was also using the likeness of it's namesake, and has the highest variance, emitting the energy of three powerful voices that are maneuvering through the shadows of the Truth-Hop movement with passionate stealth : Alais Clay, SoCoLo, and yours truly (@ELAmental). If you are here, you have likely heard the whispers, so prepare yourself for the emergence as we All Rise Together - A.R.T. - as S.O.S. - Self Owned Souls.

Description
The song is about facing your fears, rising and living above your demons, and enhancing the energetic essence of the soul. Evolving to a point of realization that you cannot ever escape karmic consequences of your indiscretions will eventually grant you blessings of protective awareness, once you have completed the gauntlet of universal justice, and achieve lifecycle harmony. Knowing this, and more important living in a manor that recognizes this, will lead you to a heightened awareness of trickery and deception, and endow you with the power of what I have come to call The Lens of Truth - an energetic heirloom that allows those who wield it to peer past the vales of deception and illusion that most humans project to varying degrees. It is impossible to obtain this power without first agreeing to the ethics of it's use - not for your benefit, but for the benefit of all. Only those with this framework embedded in their soul can wield the vision of Truth - although it is not always the easiest blessing to carry.
When one experiences extreme trauma from the disrespectful actions of others, high levels of particular emotions can course through the veins for a long period of time: i.e. resentment & hatred. These feelings can cause randomly inconsistent spikes in adrenaline from overwhelming stress and anxiety, stemming from reliving these past moments of your waking- nightmare in your mind - negatively affecting your health (mental and physical).
These kinds of experiences are poisonous, although often unavoidable on paths of true enlightenment. It has taken me a long time to start accepting these lessons as necessary, but in doing so brings me more peace, as I continue to practice living with the teachings of accepting the paradox of opposites. I am learning to love, yet also be indifferent - to be a fierce friend, while also a centered individual. This is the way...
The title for this song (and by extension the album) came to me after tossing around a grip of different ideas in my mind... It was not until months after I landed on this name, that I drew the correlation between it, and Alais Clay's song Truth of Your Power. Therefore it is nothing short of serendipitous divine fate that she choose to be featured on this particular project. Upon completion of the cover art for this book, I once said to her, "you know Alais, when I look at this art (referring to the cover-art), I think to myself 'in Another Universe, this could have been your album art'", her response... "It is".

This is the second publication in a series that will document each page of my album art book. The art you see depicted in each post will likely be the art printed in the physical book itself, on the respective page(s) corresponding to the text. There will be a different image (or images) for each song, along with the lyrics, and philosophical/poetic text relating to the concepts within each song, and/or describing the relation between the creation/production of each song, and events/circumstances that transpired during that time. There will also be an album intro page (aside from this one), a dedication page for our fallen bredren, album art-contest/project description/promotion page, the meaning of Hip Hop page, a crypto-QR donation page, sponsors page, a page promoting Hive, and a few pages promoting my friends' projects on Hive as well as Splinterlands (among a few other pages yet to be announced). The formatting of the book pages is obviously not included in these Hive publications, and will not be in the exact order that will appear in the book (although it will be close). I will not be posting the lyrics for every song quite yet (although I will for some), but will update each page publication with the lyrics after the album itself is published.
