Hello everyone I hope you all are well and good. I am enjoying the rain here.

Today I am here to share blacksmithing work with all of you guys. I live in a village so we bring up the animals. And as you know, animals eat grass. So for this purpose we use grass cutters. But after their continuous use the cutters are spoiled so then we repair them using blacksmithing techniques.

So I am here to show how we repair the grass cutting machine cutters.

So here is the grass cutting machine and the blades of this cutter.

See here that now the sharpness of these blades has become less, now they are not working properly and not cutting the grass, but passing the grass without cutting it.

Look here at this side you can see the screws which are holding these blades with the cutting machine. So now we want to repair them. So we open the blades from here after opening the screws. So now these are free and I am going to a blacksmith who can repair them.

So it is the shop of the blacksmith and he was sitting there. I asked if he is free to repair the blades right now. He said yes I am free and I can do it right now. He demanded 150 rupees which are approximately equal to 0.72 USD. In this age of high inflation it is not too much.

So in order to repair them, it needs to heat them. So there is a kiln in which he heats the blades. So he turned on the fire and the blades were heated. He has attached a roller which enhances the fire.

He has an iron holder, and as the blades are hot and he cannot hold them in the hand. So he uses an iron holder as you can see in the picture. And now it is the time to use hammer 🔨. But before hammering the blades are put on a huge and heavy iron block as you can see the blade is on that iron block.

So now by holding with the iron holder, he is hammering the blades one by one. And when the hammering will be completed of this first blade then the next blade was also fully heated. So he continuously pressed the tip of the blade, and made it thin and sharp. So that it can cut the grass easily and quickly without damaging the grass.

When the blades become little cool then he holds the blades with a cloth because holding with the iron holder is not easy and it hurts the hand when he hammer 🔨. It is not an easy job to hold a heavy hammer and hammer it continuously.

Now it is the next phase after the hammering, in order to make the blades more sharp and clear they are grinded with an electric grinder. This grinder also removes the rust from the top and make it clear.

Here you can see he is grinding and making the tip of the blade more fast and quick, and after this the tip will flash like a crystal. It makes the tip more smooth and sharp. He is the most talented blacksmith as he repairs the blades, makes axes, forks, as well as other things.

After that in order to remove the rust from the whole blade a mini hand grinder is used. This is also an electric grinder. So after removing the rust from the blades now the blades are fully ready to use.

So we again fix them with the grass cutting machine and then cut the grass sharply and quickly. So in this way we repair our grass cutting blades. And it is really an awesome way. I hope you guys will love it.

Nice job @uop
Blacksmithing, and other manual works are disappearing into the so-called "civilized countries". I am happy to see that in some areas of the world they are preserved and cultivated!

Yeah bro here in my area it is going on and on a daily basis many people come for this work.

It's really important to maintain your tools. Next time , I think you shouldn't even let them go bad entirely, routine check-up and maintenance can really help you save good money. Thanks for sharing. It's a nice content

You are right it is obvious that if we take care of the tools then we can save our money.

Very nice post you can hardly find blacksmiths around here

Thank you dear fellow for appreciating me.
