I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.

2023 was an amazing year between myself and my poultry farm. Last year I was able to rear five batches of birds that ranged from batch ten to batch fifteen. On the other hand, it's also an amazing year because no record of high mortality rate like the one I had in the year 2022.

First activities of the year in my pen.

2024 started with hope all high as I made step towards cleaning both my pen and my tools in the farm. This is what I have been doing in the past few years, first thing first, is cleaning my pen with disinfectant. I visited a veterinary store to get formaline disinfectant as usual. I got two litres which I guess would be enough for me to do the cleaning and all that.

When I got home I did the usual by mixing the formaline disinfectant in a big bowl of water with detergent and then made usual washing of the surface of the Pen's floor surface.

Having done that I moved ahead to wash the birds plastic drinkers and feeders because I am expecting my birds on Monday morning as you all know that is my usual preparatory arrangements.

After much needed activities, at Lea I won't have much to do when the birds finally arrived. The only I need to do is get some feed for a start and liter materials for the pen bedding.

Great to see you striving in your poultryfarm business despite how risky it is and I'm using this opportunity to wish you a productive year.

Cleanliness is so important to keeping a healthy flock and keeping healthy oneself. Glad to see that you took the time to do a thorough job of this very important part of keeping animals. Best of luck with the rest of the year!!
