USING HEAVY EQUIPMENT TO SPEED THINGS UP AT THE HOMESTEAD(DESPITE BREAKING IT IN THE PROCESS😁😁)

HYDRAULICS ARE SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

I'm sure hundreds of years ago, people felt the same way when using horses. But, watching a piece of heavy equipment like my dad's Bobcat T300, do three months worth of work in a couple hours still blows my mind!!!🀯(and my body loves the break!)

ONLY because of how amazing my father is, we were able to rework the drive into our field, the drive going to the cabin in the woods, and the big hill drive where we are soon to build the stone house!!! Seriously, all this work would have taken me a whole summer!!! I now no longer have to contend with the mud that would so regularly force us to walk to the cabin from the drive not being, well, drivable.😁😁

*From a dirt to gravel drive in 20 minutes!😁

As seen above one of the improvements that will help so much was adding TONS(literally) of our own creek rock to the drive.(gotta love free material) This will make the hills we have to drive up to get to our cabin waaaay easier to climb with our truck.

T300 IS ALSO A TREE MOVER!

So, living in the woods has millions of advantages, but there are a few "downfalls."(pun intended, you'll see 😁) One of these is trees don't last forever, and sometimes they fall down.(see, told yaπŸ˜‚πŸ€£)

Most of the time it's no big deal, but sometimes they fall in the way of us be able to get things done. Enter dad's Bobcat....

After just a few cuts with the chainsaw to get them to more easily manageable sizes, we just hook them with a logging chain and pulled them where we want them.πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

BUT WE ALSO BROKE THIS POWERFUL MACHINE!🀯😭🀦😁

In my next blog, I will explain what happened that put this piece of machinery on the DL list....and how we were able to fix it(thanks to my dad's amazing intellect, and knowledge) in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere. Que preview!!!!🎬

OUR EARTH IS OUR MOTHER, THE CREATOR THE FATHER, AND WE ARE ALL ONE ANOTHER'S BROTHERS AND SISTERS....just love friends, everyone and everything.

I love you all so much, and am so often reminded how amazing it is to be here. The sense of community, love, support and family is so awe inspiring!!!! Thank you all so much for swinging by my little slice of homestead life today! It means the world to me, and I hope to see y'all next time for our Bobcat repair adventures. I send my love and gratitude to each and every one you!πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

Wow that is awesome getting all that work done with the machine a big help taking some time pressure offπŸ‘

Hydraulics are indeed amazing, but just like any other technology that makes our life so much easier, they only do so while they function.
Bobcats are especially amazing and I can not wait for the day to have one here for dam building.
