I washed my clothes first thing yesterday morning and as I looked up at the back of the kitchen tv I saw our old Asus Vivo Stick mini computer hanging there so I grabbed it and plugged it in to see if it would load. It did not. I did manage to get the bios flashed to the most current but that didn't let it load. I tried to get xubuntu to install but only got it to run. I will play with it more later.
I had my chiro appointment mid morning and was able to do a lot of work on my hips and back muscles which did improve my pain level quite a bit this morning. When I walked out to leave I found my truck had made a friend, almost twinsies.
With the load of wood I will be hauling home I wanted to clean out in front of the wood cover to make it as easy as possible to access. The wood all got moved and stacked, rocks piled, metal case drug across the yard, and raking.
Then the small fire pit thing got taken apart and the bricks stacked nearby.
R gave me a hand moving the not sooty ones.
I helped install the post years ago for Direct tv dish so I knew it was concreted in but damn I had to dig to within a few inches of the base before it would lever over and pull out.
All raked out and MUCH cleaner looking it is ready for the rounds of wood.
The main firepit got its last fire in the current incarnation. Next week I plant to take it all apart and shift it a bit and rebuild it.
I got the trailer hooked up and my supplies moved to it. I have a bit more gear to gather this morning before I leave.
I grilled burgers and was quite pleased with the amount of light the new light over the Blackstone gives me at the pit. It will be better when I have it moved.
Got out to soak close to normal time after getting the new laser printer going. It works super well and holy balls is it fast. Hardwired it to router and any of us can print to it now, FINALLY!
I walked in from soaking and looked down at my desk to find this tree frog hunkered down in the bit of LED light. It must have come out of one of the plants I brought in from the greenhouse. It lept from my hand when I picked it up and landed on my monitor screen, but I got it and took it to the basement where thee is a drip from the water system and lots of bugs, and temperate.
This morning I will be getting harvests done in the greenhouse first thing and setup a timer on the heat lamp, move printer where it belongs, then load up the truck.
I'm heading north to the Kettle Crest where Art will meet me at camp, sometime around noon. We will climb the next couple days then will cut loads of wood on Saturday for the trips home. The last time I did this was Sep 18 2021, (I wish there was a search function by date for the chain) and I was able to look back at my pics to see how long it took me and how much I hauled back. I have reception around camp so will be able to post but likely won't do a long for m until back, it will be just Actifit posts but it will keep my streak alive. I just have to remember to do my Duolingo lessons to keep that streak going.
