I broke myself. Yesterday morning I woke up in major pain after a terrible night of sleep. I sat in my chair for a couple hours with the Theracane trying to work the knots out but it only did so much. I watched the abomination of a match as is the norm for Man Utd anymore. 14th place in standings....
As I tried to work on the pain I also tried to get the coop door opener going again after my attempted driver swap. Something borked on the closing so I have to setup a test bed today to try and troubleshoot the system in the house so I am not making tons of trips back and forth.
We have an ancient duct fan that is our air circulation fan in the house. It gets moved twice a year and I had tried to do some leaning before but this time I took the whole thing apart and really cleaned it. The fan blades were in serious need of deep cleaning so I took the wire brush to it. I had to mostly work off handed for the day which made everything tougher.
I took the blades to the concrete patio and worked on leveling them and truing them the best I could.
This ancient motor is still super bomber since it was made TO LAST.
I was able to get to the coils and air blasted them before oiling the bearing and shaft. I put it all back together but had to fine tune the blades so they didn't wallow or shake. Back together, mounted, and running it moves air better, runs smoother, and a bit quieter.
Seahawks played in the afternoon and just got run over by NY.
I was out in the garden and noticed a pile of honey bees all on the frost cover over a row of potatoes that had rain water puddled. Only this part of this one were they at while the other covers had standing water available.
Celery is still going strong.
Much of my afternoon was spent clearing the hearth around the fireplace. It is getting close to time to start using it for heat and it tends to collect things when not in use. I found some issues with it but ordered the new combustor, gasket with cement, and firebrick with cement. They will be here Wednesday so then I can get the repairs done. A bunch of the brick inside is broken, mainly the sides so I'm thinking the 6 pcs of brick I am getting should be enough.
Over the day @stryeyz cut up bunching onion tops for the freeze dryer. The full load of 5 trays went in in the early evening but shouldn't take too long since they are so airy.
Soaked only a bit as I had to work on the knots inside before knocking out with a muscle relaxer.
Slept a good bit better thanks to the relaxer but am still in a bunch of pain. I ordered the fireplace parts this morning, got the boys to school, am constantly working on the pain, will setup the coop door test setup and work on it, PDC week starts today, move stools to studio, adjust plant light timer, then come up with dinner this evening.
