As I was taking the boys to school yesterday morning we were driving out the driveway when I saw that the gate was tuck part way open having fallen off the hinge pins, again. I got the gate open then sat and waited at the school for the gate to open and I figured out how to remedy the problem.
I had the pins both facing up which allowed the gate to lever itself off the pins. Now I loosened the bracket and lowered it so I could turn the top pin upside down. Now the pins face each other and locked the gate to the pins so it can't lever itself loose again.
The next thing I will have to repair will be when the lower bracket breaks free from the gate and I have to put a new one on like the top bracket but I will let it break first, it works fine now. I don't know for sure it will break but it IS the weakest part of the system now.
Well, would you look at that, we got sunshine finally. It took till mid day for the fog to burn off but once it did we actually got up over 50F for the day.
Back in J's room I grabbed the top piece of sheetrock that I cut from the wall and measured out the placement of the electrical box then cut it out.
I hit it perfectly and the piece slid right back into place. The box locks it in nicely and I added one screw at the top and it is good.
I roamed the farm in search of laminate flooring and found a bunch of used stuff but the ends are toast so I have to see if I can piece things together to make it work. I only need a dozen or so but will have to dig through a lot more of the laminate to find enough good.

What made me pull the trigger on this is that I have been using the http://v4v.app to transfer extra bits of HBD daily to my Alby Lightning BTC wallet, only a few K sats per day but over the past 2 months that added up nicely so I was able to pay with lightning which has almost ZERO fees compared to mainnet BTC. My miner is shipping today and I should have it likely Thursday.
I made my purchase then had to go to my chiro appointment right after. I love lightning BTC for that reason, it took seconds and it was paid.
So my spine is FUCKED UP!!!! I have a long way to go to get it into a semblance of normal shape with at least a dozen vertebrae far out of alignment. It is all a LONG term issue as I have good range of motion but the core is torched. Our Dr is one of a dozen siblings who all have or are wrestling in our school district and whose father is coaching on the older kids while his sons works with the younger.
I will be going back quite regularly to hopefully get my back into a workable order and eliminate these gad damned migraines.
@stryeyz picked the boys up from school so I could go to my appointment. When I got home I felt a bit better from the adjustment and was able to work on the other piece of sheetrock. It got it cut out and stuffed in the hole but not installed. I still have to clean out behind the tub and deal with the hole that is open to under the house around the drain line. At least it closed it up so J could sleep better.
R had wrestling practice so after a dinner of leftovers I took him up. The end up with about 25 kids for the younger group and it is like a room of bees buzzing around when they all get going.
My truck has had a super lazy eyeball for months now and I finally took the time to deal with it. I had to move it a ton to get it lined up with the other, but when I went to go pick R up from practice I found I had moved it too far back so today I will raise them up some so my low beams shine farther away from the truck.
They finished their practice with dodge ball which ends up devolving into a free for all.
Got out to soak on time and R came out for his after practice chlorineing. Made it a bit over an hour before I was done.
Today after the boys are to school I need to figure out the flooring issue, clean behind the tub, find my sheetrock tape and mud, PL matches are on, Kraken play but stupid late so will just catch the highlights later, I have a new story bubbling that I might get started on if it coalesces into something tangible, work on my greenhouse business plan, and check on the greenhouse which I didn't do yesterday but have to today as it will be over 50F again.
