Some crops especially fruits are so essential and good that I have made up some space just to have them around my house, obtaining this kinds of crops without having to pay for it help me to cut down on some of this budgets.
Plantain is a very rich part of our everyday diet and as rich as it is also the price of this fruit can be quite high, adding this to the list of new crops that I want to have in my proposed new garden makes it easier for me to access a good part of my diet.
This plant don't have anything like seeds through which I can transplant then, neither could it be
(2)transplanted using its branches like the case of cassava so people who haven't actually seen this plant grow will be wondering just how does this particular plant germinate, well it only terminates from it part in its body usually called the sucker around my place this explains the reason why this specific crop don't just grow anywhere randomly like some of this fruits do.
Transplanting a young banana or plantain crop is usually the best bet when it comes to cultivating them and this one I am planting was gotten from a particular place where many of this plantain seem to be so dominant and I am nurturing it carefully to see how it will develop and hopefully that would be the beginning of many of its kind in my garden.
I also make a shade around my plantain to protect it from being eating by some of the animals around in the house especially goat.
I used net with tress to make the shade
Even the sticks used for making the shade is also Germinating.
