Last weekend, I visited a housing society out side of Islamabad in remote area. This housing society has some field area near it. I parked my car on road and felt some movement in field. Some small object was running around the field. They were Little Chicks of Red Wattled Lapwing and because of movement I spotted them otherwise they were very well camouflaged. Luckily, I had my camera and took some amazing shots of this little beauty.
As I had no intention to frighten them so I tried to take photograph from inside the car. It was a great moment for me watching cute little babies running around. Their mother was also flying around at some distance to keep an eye on predators. I saw two chicks running around. I was very amazed to see that how does a lapwing raise its children close to populated area. After spending some time with this little chick, I headed back to home and hoped these chicks could reach their adult life.
