Hola chicos!

Hi guys! Today I'm very excited to share my latest makeup for which I took quite some time to plan, this time I wanted to represent a biblical angel, but in a different color, making it red and black in representation of an angel in its "dark" or evil version, for this makeup I made my own headband with wings which I showed in a tutorial yesterday which you can see here

It was quite a difficult job to make the wings of the headband compared to the makeup, although it took me some time to cover almost all my chest and face with red paint, my face is still red because this paint is quite difficult to remove because of its pigmentation, something I didn't count with when I did this makeup was the way to take the pictures and that the wings were visible on camera, it took me a lot of work to get an angle where you could see the wings completely hahaha, I did my best effort and I hope you really like this version of a fallen angel.

To start my makeup I did a moisturizing before, after this step I started to apply glue on my eyebrows to cover them, however, they were not covered very well, although the effect of the eyebrows was pretty cool, I applied red paint in dots all over the face and chest and with a thick brush I started to spread the paint.

Since this body paint is oil based it is necessary to seal with translucent powder to give a matte finish to the face, so I applied powder on all the red parts, with a very fine brush and using water based body paint I started to make the shape of the eye just in the center of my forehead, I filled it as close as possible to the eyes I did on the wings and then I lined my eyes with black gel eyeliner, to give more depth to this makeup I used black shadow to create contours and black body paint to make some lines and dots around it, finally I placed the false eyelashes and used red contact lenses.

Oh hey, and here's that prop! Great job! :D

Since this body paint is oil based it is necessary to seal with translucent powder to give a matte finish to the face, so I applied powder on all the red parts, with a very fine brush and using water based body paint ....

In the past when I've wanted to do a "bloodied" look in photography, I've made some sugar syrup (just boil water with lots of sugar in it, and stir it, like you're making caramel, except use white sugar instead of raw sugar) - then add red food colour, crushed coffee beans, and then some cocoa powder.

This means 1. its food safe, 2. its vegan (if the food colouring is, but I don't care, some people do) - and 3. it is much cheaper than body paints / gels / make up, etc.

The only downside is that due to the sugar, it is really sticky, and it can sometimes stain clothes.

The results I get out of this is pretty convincing, it even runs and coagulates like real blood. Example of me using it in a shoot outdoors and another from an indoors studio shoot.

Thank you!
First of all, these photos are awesome, excellent job.

and on the other hand that trick of the blood I have done with honey and cocoa is really impressive how real it looks the bad thing is that it feels very uncomfortable at least for me 😅 In fact, I will soon have to buy honey because I am out of the mixture

I didn't have complaints from either model / client involved in those photos, apart from the stickiness of the substance, that was all!

When they see how good it looks on camera they don't care :D

Yep! Is amazing effect I really loved these photos 👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you again! it is definitely something I enjoy producing. I'm looking forward to getting the opportunity to do more portraits in the future!
