Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers
I'm at it again...
I don't even know where to start really. 😂
Just take a moment and look at this vehicle, it was once a beastly thing on the roads, now... well now it's reduced to shit if I can be blunt about this.
It's a shame I didn't take a video of the whole car.
See the thing is, we've been getting quite a few of these cars as of lately, this is the second one of the bunch but since this vehicle came in last week we have gotten two others with it in the same poor condition.
Don't get me wrong I can understand if someone perhaps got into a bit of a jam and caused and accident there for the body work would be a little unpleasant on the eyes, but mechanically wise this car is even more of a mess! Besides that they took the car to some fool who claims he can do body work when in actuality he can't and this is coming from personal experience. Yes I know it ain't painted yet but the primer that has been added already is starting to fall off.
This legitly murders my soul, because these are really one of the strong and fast cars. Whelp not anymore!
Let's jump into this, so I had the car on the lift ready to remove the transmission when I decided hell nah this thing needs a wapping!
Of I went of course, I then continued to jack the vehicle up and place jack stands underneath while I was busy setting up the big industrial wap... After popping the hood it was clear that this is a rat infested nest! Rat poo everywhere in every crook and cranny!
It appears to have been in a major collision, if you look at the right hand side just behind the battery you can see marks where it folded, although the bulk of the damage is not caught in the photo!
What get's me the most is that everything is hanging loose or tied up with cable ties. I mean come on if this was my car I'd treat it better than I treat myself!
Get with it people! Get with it.
Explain this to me, notice the padding under the hood (yeah I know hard not to notice it!) How is anyone capable of screwing that up? Like just explain to me how? It's a part that no one ever touches! NEVER EVER EVER! And I mean that! In all my time working on cars I've never had to remove that or even come close to touching it, other than my head scraping against it. SO how does anyone manage to get it to look like that!
It's also tied up with cable ties... If this was my ride I'd have it replaced or ATLEAST removed because it looks utterly ugly!
Let's get to what really matters, paint can fool a person but what lies beneath is what really matters and well this doesn't look like it really matters at all!
She is very sick and would need a lot of loving to get her back into tip top shape!
So where do we start, this vehicle was brought in for transmission problems... But this one she doesn't even start, so naturally we will put it in the back of the line and inform the customer that there will be some additional charges to get this thing running. It wont really help to remove and repair the transmission just yet.
Damn who knows it's even really the transmission giving troubles? Since he took it to some hillbilly back yard shop well I ain't so sure. I think it has more troubles that just the transmission and looking at it I bet that transmission is bugger up properly!
So all of that shit has to come off! Well at-least as much as I can get off! Let the battles begin!
OH NO!
This is what you call problems! Major problems
See it's easy to identify a mechanical problem because it's a visual problem where as electrics well that requires a whole lot of patience and dedication and a sheer will to do the job right!
"You can slip on the mechanics but not the electrics!"
Laughs that shit can turn this "beauty" into a pile of charcoal and ash very very quickly! I've seen alot of fly by wiring, but this is just ugly dayum, I can't even make out what is what except for the positive earth wire!
No doubt the rats will feast on those wires in a couple of months!
Now to add the cherry on top the fuse box looks like it was dumped in a sandy river, I tried not to get much water from the power washer in there but perhaps it would do it good to get a proper cleaning I mean most of that is probably already rusted up and gone!
You can see the repaired damage on the chassis alot better in this picture.
