Hi hive friends, glad to be back again and to share with you my experience in the kitchen, I love doing this and i will always do so. I can remember those days, when i was younger, I was restricted from entering the kitchen, because in our culture, food is to be cooked by ladies but i persisted and today i can boldly say that i am a proud cook.
Today I will be sharing my experience on my jummy jollof Rice, you can always try it yourself.
Ingredients
- Short grain Rice
- Tomato
- seasonings
- Onions
- vegetable oil
- Smocked Fish
- Smocked Crayfish
- cent leaf
- seasoning cubes
- salt
- Ripe plantain
preparation process
You will start by parboiling the rice, depending on the species of the rice or the kind of the rice you have within your location. you have to boil it not to be soft but just boil it to filter it and get it ready for the real cooking.
Peal the plantain, watch it and cut it into smaller size, also make it ready for the cooking.
Set up the fire and put the pot on the fire, open it and allow it to dry, then first put in the vegetable oil into it and begin the process.
putting the oil into the pot, please be very careful, avoid having direct contact of your hands on the pot,
put the oil to the pot and allow it to get hot after which you put in the sliced onion to the oil and allow it cook, then you turn it.
also put the tomato, to the oil and allow it to cook for a few minutes, add the species, to the oil,
Add water to the oil, and turn it, cover it and allow it to boil for about 10minutes, then add the parboiled rice, to the pot mixture.
The blended crayfish, pepper and other seasonings, will be poured into the pot, cover the pot and allow it to boil, thereby absorbing all the ingredients, as it start boiling, you add the plantain to the pot and cover it again.
After the water is dried, you are good to go, the food is done, and you can serve it for breakfast, lunch or dinner,
