Sirloin Sandwich and My Childhood Turtle

I hope everyone on my side of the coast is safe, warm and dry. The much needed rain has over-stayed her welcome for some, but for many of us its a relief specially because we live in extremely dry areas of the state. I'm hoping the rain helps with the drought issue because last year the it was very expensive to water my vegetable garden so it was not as productive as previous years.
My spinach and arugula are doing great with the rainy weather so we have been consuming a lot of this dark green beauty. A great thing about the diet I am on is I get to eat meat everyday which is something I truly enjoy! I made sirloin sandwiches and they were so good!
Ghee on toasted sourdough bread, provolone, arugula, onions and stone ground mustard and mayo tied everything in so beautifully! A quick drizzle of olive oil and balsamic glaze and they were good to go! My family really enjoyed them!
I am not 100 percent sure if I will be moving this year but I have started downsizing on things I have accumulated over the years. I was going through some items in my china cabinet and low and behold I came across a little Flo-blue trinket box I had and inside was my childhood turtle!Well obviously only the shell, one foot and the tail remain but she was found! She passed when I was around six years old. Unfortunately she was sick since we bought her and I didn't have her "alive" for long. My parents thought I had buried her but I had hidden her in the garage. I remember checking up on her and she smelled so bad! Eventually the ants got to her and then after a while she was dried up and I put her inside a little box and have kept her since.
Yup, I was "that kid" lol.
It was so nostalgic finding this little turtle again and it really made my day! Have you found any forgotten treasures lately?
