Hello @kesityu.fashion, and welcome to the HIVE social blockchain. I found your post through #heyhaveyamet, and thought I'd drop a comment on you. I can't say that I have anything in common with you, from reading your post here. I'm autistic, and I'm much more comfortable wearing what amounts to a utilitarian, "personal uniform" rather than abstract, but fashionable clothing. My wardrobe has neat piles of exactly the same clothing items in sets of 14, so that I can wear one set one week, then wear the second set of the same style clothes the following week while the first set is being washed. I choose my clothes purely for their utility, rather than for how they look on me. I guess that in itself is some kind of fashion statement, hahaha. Anyway, welcome again to the blockchain. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hi @frittro thanks! well indeed i guess your way of choosing and wearing your clothes is kind of a statement itself.. but thats also what i enjoy about fashion, is that freedom, what ever you feel comfortable or good with is your way of "living" fashion, and in the end no one gets around it, since we all have to wear some clothes anyway :)

Interestingly, although I'm into the utilitarian look for myself, I do enjoy observing how other people dress themselves.

"Well, that’s one reason to me to only use existing materials for me to create new objects."

Your up-cycling / re-purposing ethos is particularly interesting to me. I was in an up-cycling collective a few years ago. We dealt with a variety of different media, including wood and metalwork, electronics, food (creating new dishes from leftovers), plants (up-cycled planter boxes), and there was someone in the collective who up-cycled clothing as well.

That sounds really interesting!! Do you still do things in this direction or does the collective still exist? I would love to see what you did aswell. I guess also combining all the different materials in the upcycling process is really inspiring and must bring up so many ideas...

Unfortunately, I think the collective that I was in folded during the time while I was in and out of hospital for three years recently. It looks like even their domain name has been "repurposed" now, haha. The best that I can offer is this Twitter Media stream...

ah shame.. but from what i have seen it looks like a lot of fun, i must say i really like the concept of an upcycling collective!

Yes, that is just one name for it. It is also known as a "makerspace", and a "hackerspace". Same thing. 👍
