@wanderingmoon...

You know... I wonder what you used to take these awesome photos... šŸ˜šŸ˜‰

This reminds me of the first pc I bought, back in 2000. I think it was an HP? All I know, is it was being used by the rental company I was working for. They used it to keep track of their U-Haul sales. How they even managed to do that... I've no idea LOL. I paid $100.00 for the whole thing; tower, keyboard, mouse, monitor... I'm thinking it was running Win 98 LOLOLOL. Anyway... I bought an extra memory stick, from a guy I knew. Put it back together... pushed the power button... nothing.

It was then, that I learned how expensive pc repair was. I also learned the importance of the "stand offs" (those little screws, that secure your motherboard, and keep the motherboard from touching the side of the tower šŸ¤£šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜)... I digress. I think what you are doing, is quite clever. One man's trash, is indeed one mans treasure. My last pc build, was back in 2006. So as you can imagine... I do not have the knowledge to help on this. However.... I'm going to TAG a Soul Brother, that might be able to share some words of wisdom! @jacobpeacock ... any chance you could offer some ideas? Thank you, brother!

I'm hoping you have some good news about this, dear soul. Look forward to seeing what you find out!!

@wesphilbin, you successfully shared 0.1000 LOH with @wanderingmoon and you earned 0.1000 LOH as tips. (1/5 calls)

Use !LADY command to share LOH! More details available in this post.

I've dabbled for years. I never really built on from scratch beginning to end but with the knowledge I had at the time I taught my daughters father to build a tower and @travelingcrafter's man to repair a laptop.

From what I can tell from the post maybe a bios update is needed? Could also maybe just be a bad network (CAT-5) cable. Really unsure what the goal or specific problem is.

@jacobpeacock...

Thank you, for seeing my TAG, and coming to visit. I think @wanderingmoon is really just following her fascination of electronics. As well as trying to bring a light to refurbishment of things people think is junk. I'll let her answer, of course! Good to see your words, brother!

!LUV

jacobpeacock, wesphilbin sent you LUV. šŸ™‚ (2/10) tools | trade | connect | daily

Made with LUV by crrdlx.

I do see where the ethernet cord would plug into but it has been connecting without the need for one since I got it up and running. I thank you for telling me the cord I would need. I do not think I have that one. I will check. I also know it would be cheap enough to get a card but I do not see where or how I would even plug it in.

And Yes to all of what @wesphilbin said. šŸ˜ƒ
I used my (currently active) REVVL V phone to take the picture.
